Most connection issues are caused by the USB cable or missing drivers. Ensure you are using a high-quality data cable (some cables only provide power). If you are on Windows, ensure you have the correct ADB drivers installed. Lastly, double-check that USB Debugging is enabled in your device's Developer Options before connecting.

Ubuntu Touch is a Linux OS, so it does not run Android apps by default. However, many users use Waydroid, an open-source tool that allows you to run Android applications in a container on supported devices. For a more "native" experience, we recommend checking our Apps pagefor privacy-respecting alternatives.

Support varies by device. We categorize devices into Featured and Reference. While Featured devices usually have everything working, some Reference ports might have issues with GPS, Bluetooth, or Camera. You can check the specific status of your hardware on our Supported Devicespage.

Yes, installing a new operating system requires wiping your device, so please back up your data first. Regarding your warranty: in many regions, unlocking your bootloader may void your manufacturer's warranty. However, many community-friendly devices (like Fairphone or PinePhone) are designed specifically for this type of experimentation.

Don't panic! It is very rare to "brick" a device using the UBports Installer. Usually, this means the bootloader didn't unlock properly or the firmware version was incorrect. You can almost always recover by putting the device back into Fastboot or Recovery mode and re-running the installer. If you're nervous, join our Telegram Welcome Groupfor live help.
