House painter / contractor labouring away in Canada. B.Sc in Physics. Some coding experience in high school and undergrad, but none since. The amount of time involved in getting things set up, understanding Git, learning a relevant language, etc. seems to be a barrier. I may have more time one day. I was a cell phone holdout until 2020, at which time I looked into things, and bought a used Oneplus One on which to install UT. I've never used another mobile OS other than fleetingly on somebody else's phone. I donate to the Foundation, and have donated to app devs and porters. I've also tried to be helpful on the Forum more and more over time. Almost 5 years in I'm finally properly signing up to try to help more. I'm told I write and edit English well. I always watch the Q&As, and could be useful helping to summarize them if needed, or in other writing. I may soon have a spare UT device and be more useful at testing. At present my sole device is used for my business and as such I'm pretty careful. I've learned a fair bit over my time using UT, and while still lacking in a lot of technical knowledge, could be useful in helping newer users. I've tried to do so on the Forum. I speak French fairly poorly, and presume there are better options out there as Translators, but if we ever got desparate enough, I'd try :-) I'm signing up for a few things to try to see where I can best be useful. Open to suggestions.
