The UBports Foundation is extremely grateful for every donation we receive. Whether that’s through a corporate sponsor, or from an individual like yourself. We’re happy with every contribution, because we know that combining forces of many individuals can make a huge difference.


As we’re a charitable foundation under German Law, your donation can be tax-deductible in your country. This means that you’re able to decide where your tax money goes. In some way.

Yes, in many cases! The UBports Foundation is incorporated as a registered non-profit (gemeinnützige rechtsfähige Stiftung bürgerlichen Rechts) in Germany. Because of this status, many donors can claim tax deductions. Since tax laws vary by country, we recommend confirming the specific details with your local tax office.

Für Spender aus Deutschland gibt es vereinfachte Regelungen:

  • Bis 200 Euro: Hier reicht in der Regel ein einfacher Zahlungsbeleg (z. B. der Kontoauszug) als Nachweis für das Finanzamt aus.
  • Über 200 Euro: Wir stellen Ihnen gerne eine formelle Zuwendungsbescheinigung aus. Damit wir diese zustellen können, geben Sie bitte Ihren vollständigen Namen und Ihre Postanschrift im Verwendungszweck der Überweisung an. Wir senden Ihnen die Bescheinigung dann innerhalb weniger Monate zu.

If you want your contribution to have a permanent impact, you can designate your donation as a "Zustiftung."

Unlike a regular donation, a Zustiftung is added to the Foundation’s endowment capital. This means the money is preserved long-term, and only the interest generated is used to fund the project. To choose this option, simply write "Zustiftung" in the reference field (Verwendungszweck) of your bank transfer.
