Hello everybody. It's the end of another workweek for me. Having been pretty busy I must admit to feeling a little tired. But the good news is, I get to write another news letter! As always with nice bits of news news and some sweet stuff.
While people continue to work in the 20.04 port, here is some other news I think can be useful for our community of 3090 souls. (Whoa. where did that jump in subscribers come from? Anyway, welcome to all new readers!)
So, sit back, grab hold of your favorite beverage (I just finished a few glasses of fizzy water at a pub in my town during what was basically a small business meeting) and listening to nothing because my wife is doing an online exam and I like the current tranquility in our house.
In our community
Portugal
Well, I don't know if this is in our community as such, but I got a lovely email from Cregox, who is clearly a reader of our news letter, saying that on the first of October in Sintra Portugal there will be a creativity festival. It has something to do with water tigers but don't pin me on that since I'm not an expert on the matter.
So, if you are near Sintra, Portugal on the first of October, at least we now know of a place with likeminded people to meet. So, from me to Cregox: I hope you have a lovely event!
Germany
Speaking of events. As Berlin is the base of our beloved UBports Foundation, from the first to the fourth of October there will be the Nextcloud conference (https://nextcloud.com/conference-2022/ ). And in their program (https://nextcloud.com/blog/nextcloud-conference-2022-program/) they even have a talk on Sunday at 11:45 AM entitled: "How to make a phone more ethical" (https://odoo.nextcloud.com/event/nextcloud-conference-4/track/how-to-make-a-phone-more-ethical-24"). Could be fun, don't you think?
Training links
Let's first show here a few important links:
Training email support!!!
But the most important news is: if you get stuck setting up the development environment on your own system, you can now send an email to (drum roll please...)
training-support@ubport.com
to get support! And somebody will help you out. Or, at least, that's the idea. :-)
