 025 The 39th Chaos Communication Congress (39C3) takes place in Hamburg on
  27–30 Dec 2025\, and is the 2025 edition of the annual four-day confere
 nce on technology\, society and utopia organized by the Chaos Computer Clu
 b (CCC) and volunteers. Congress offers lectures and workshops and various
  events on a multitude of topics including (but not limited to) informatio
 n technology and generally a critical-creative attitude towards technology
  and the discussion about the effects of technological advances on society
 . Starting in 1984\, Congress has been organized by the community and appr
 eciates all kinds of participation. You are encouraged to contribute by vo
 lunteering\, setting up and hosting hands-on and self-organized events wit
 h the other components of your assembly or presenting your own projects to
  fellow hackers. At the Chaos Communication Congress 2025\, the UBports co
 mmunity\, will be actively participating in hands-on activities and commun
 ity exchanges. One highlight is the “Flashing Smartphones with Ubuntu To
 uch Linux” assembly\, hosted by local Linux user groups in collaboration
  with UBports and related open-source initiatives. In this session\, visit
 ors can flash smartphones\, get guidance on installation\, ask questions a
 bout porting and development\, and discover how mobile Linux can replace p
 roprietary systems.
